POC Events

POC Events are a reflection of our community through the arts of performance, imagery and discussion. Our socials provide a platform to artists and community members to share and witness the fruits we bare - whether sweet or sour - to encourage communal understanding and strengthening. POC Events put new generation, Black artistry on a pedestal to add he(art) and culture to the GTA.

All events put on in partnership with Tea With Tay Events

Black Women Lifting Black Women

To commemorate Woman’s Day on Friday March 8th, POC Culture will be hosting an event in celebration of Black Women. At Black Women Lifting Black Women, we will be exploring the complicated relationship between the Black Woman and her peers. Through visual and performance art we will uncover the issues and challenges that Black women face. Through a panel of Black Women, we will create a framework to continue the practice of loving and lifting our sisters and ourselves.
